9th Wonder resigns from Little Brother
In rather unfortunate news, Little Brother has just announced that 9th Wonder will be stepping down from his production role with North Carolina's finest independent hiphop group. While 9th Wonder's signature sound was once the calling card of Little Brother's instrumentation, the group is optimistic about moving forward with new production talent. In a statement made to Hiphopgame.com, Rapper Big Pooh comments, "Little Brother has decided, in the best interest of the group, for Little Brother and 9th Wonder to part ways. There are no hard feelings and no beef. This is just a decision that had to be made so all three of us could move forward and continue to provide the world with dope music."
Little Brother first received worldwide critical acclaim from their debut album "The Listening", which was almost unanimously accepted as an instant underground classic. Since then, the group has continued to work independently despite inking a deal with Atlantic. Their follow-up LP entitled "The Minstrel Show" was heralded by fans for both its musicality and strong message, while chastised by BET for being "too intelligent".
Little Brother's 3rd album, "Getback" is currently incomplete and without a scheduled release date announced, but it can be certain that the crew will keep loyal heads intently listening with interim releases. A new mixtape dropping February 13th mixed by DJ Mick Boogie will be offered as a free digital download, specifically in response to the recent issues brought forward with the DJ Drama arrest incident.
If anything is certain about the direction of the group, it is that they will continue to mature as artists and develop their sound in ways previously unexplored. With a glowing record of releases to date, the only direction these cats are going is up.

Say it ain't so
FIRST
First the fatboys break up now everyday I wake up....R.I.P. Little Brother from the Cat's Crattle to Atlantic to this
hahah
"chastised by BET for being 'too intelligent'"
Well that's just too funny, fuck you BET.
Well
As a friend of 9th.. Hey what can you do when U put friends before busniess and they dont do the same.. I'm sure we will still see alot of collabos..
9th was the soul reason LB was revolutionary
Damn, another producer lost to the mainstream industry. This country will never learn that money doesn't buy happiness.
It can't be
I don't believe these cats broke up. They really made me feel what HipHop was all about. Shit is wack!!
Hip hop body
This is what is killing the hip hop body! Everytime we get a group that exemplifies what hip hop is about we loose them and four knuckle headed groups replace them. We can't let the brains of hip die, because if we loose the head the body follow!
Without Pee it's not LB little brother there ne
9wonder was the heart and soul of LB and it's a shame that niggaz did not see eye to eye.I was looking foward to hearing what new tricks 9th had up his sleave. The MAN did get jewles from peterock, rza, dilla, and premo. So whatthe fuck is niggas bitching about his beats for he can only get better as far as te n pooh they made two classic jonts yeah it's cool to have some out side prodution but I beleave that mr dougth would have step up his game 3x a charm niggaz. I wish everybody the best of luck but without P it's not LB. peace
I wanna know what truly happened!!!
Does anyone know what the real issues were. I mean let's not forget putting hip-hop ideals aside these r still just people and aint none of us perfect. but i just wanna know what happened cause if you listen to "That ain't Love" on the GetBack Phonte's verse seems to be shedding a little light, but i am still not sure. As far as the album i would have had 9th do a few more tracks at least I mean just one 9th track is not good enough. Dont get me wrong though the album is a classic(concepts, flows, beats, arrangments, etc. are all dope)[Please cop "GetBack" if u havn't already]. I play it straight through everytime. But the thing is there is no "Loving it" ie The Minstrel Show or "So Fabulous" ie the Listening. TO ME (NOTICE: THIS IS JUST MY OPINION) there is no one track that has that addictive put-on-repeat quality as the afore mentioned songs. Anyone can holla at me if you have any info or wanna discuss this further.
